These pieces are molded in a mix of random shapes that fit together like broken mosaic tiles.  They also have the advantage of being molded out of plastic, so they are lightweight and have no sharp edges.  When pieced together, you can create a random pattern to cover almost any shape and they work really well with our self adhesive crafting plastic sheets.
